The remains of a Roman bridge are in the small square where the 365 steps, why are there always 365? lead to the Calvario. When you return from your climb you will find bars to quench your thirst and restaurants to feed your hunger. The town market fills the central square on Wednesdays from eight in the morning. Here visitors will find townspeople and villagers mixing with the visitors buying their food. This is a real market rather than a tourist trap and it would still go on even when the visitors have left. After the siesta the main square comes to life again in the evening as people walk the evening paseo. Join in but do conform to the convention of wearing your best clothes. Later sit and enjoy a drink under the trees before enjoying an evening meal in one of the restaurants around the square and town centre. Places to VisitPuerto de Pollença is 2 km away.
